Smiling Car
GIZMAG -- People are the problem...
A
smiling car does make sense, if you follow their explanation.
As
for me, I would like my fridge
to smile at me in the morning, when I walk into the kitchen. "Hello,
Babak! Lovely to see you today. How are you?" And so on. Would have
to be an intelligent fridge,
preferably. Otherwise, it could become very trying, very quickly.
The
next step would be for the fridge to have a chat with the toaster, and the
toaster to make fun of the washing machine, and so on. Hopefully, any human
input (and presence) will soon be totally, utterly redundant.

Around town, drivers and pedestrians
communicate using body language and eye contact, something a self-driving car
can’t do. To try and solve the problem, a Swedish company has developed a car
capable of flashing a smile at pedestrians.
